Outdoor Jogging Tips

Spring is a great time to jog. The sun is shining and the snow has started to melt. Yey! Here are some tips to begin your outdoor jogging exercise safely:
  1. Watch out for the pot holes! Unlike a treadmill or an indoor track, you will need to avoid pot holes and residue pebbles on the road which can cause a slip or an injury.
  2. Warm up. Doing a dynamic warm up before and a stretch after a run is always important, outdoor running may put a greater strain on your legs, so it is even more critical to stretch.
  3. Bring a water bottle. Don’t forget to stay hydrated throughout the workout so put your water bottle beside your running shoes or you risk forgetting it.
  4. Check your shoes. Running outdoors may wear out the cushioning and soles of your shoes so remember to check and avoid injuries by replacing your shoes when the time comes.
Have a great outdoor jogging season!
