Martin Sauvé, B.Sc. PhT
Martin Sauvé is a 1991 graduate from the University of Laval with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. He quickly began his training in manual therapy to complete his E3-V3, and has regularly continued to take courses and training to expand his expertise. In 2014, he completed a course in dry needling physiotherapy, which is a technique to effectively treat chronic muscular tension and pain. Martin is passionate about treating jogging and running related injuries and is eager to work with his clients to get them back to their pre injury state quickly and effectively!
Josée Turgeon, B.Sc. PhT
Josée Turgeon is a 1991 graduate of Laval University with a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy. She has also completed her Manual Therapy levels E3 and V3. She later gained a specialization in pediatric motor development and infant plagiocephaly (“flat head”) syndrome. In 2012, she completed her 2nd cycle in Pelvic floor physiotherapy. An avid runner herself, she also gained a specialization in running injuries. She is passionate about helping people, and that is what drove her to choose a career in physiotherapy.

MONICA TROZZO, B.Sc. PhT., is a 2008 graduate of McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy. Monica is also Cappino’s Co-Founder. She specializes in the treatment of TMJ (temporomandibular joint) pain and dysfunction and is working toward her McKenzie certification, which will allow her to specialize in the treatment of neck and back pain, as well. MEGHAN STRAUB, B.Sc., M.Sc A. PhT., is a 2013 graduate of McGill University with a Master of Applied Science in physical therapy. Meghan was first exposed to the domain of pediatric physical therapy when her young nephew was diagnosed with cancer. In addition to working at Cappino, Meghan treats patients at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. She completed her levels 1, 2 and 3 Upper and Lower Quadrants with the Association québécoise de physiothérapie manuelle orthopédique (AQPMO). Meghan is also the proud recipient of several awards, notably from The Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and her mission with Physiothérapie Sans Frontières in Ecuador won a sponsorship from the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ). KELLY CAPPADOCIA, B.Sc PhT, Cred. MDT, is a 2002 graduate of McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy. She is Cappino’s Co-Founder, Clinical Director, and Head Concussion Therapist. An avid skier from the tender age of 14 months, Kelly combined her twin passions for sports and medicine into a career in physiotherapy. In 2004, she became a credentialed McKenzie Therapist, focusing on the treatment of neck and back pain. Kelly has also completed Manual Therapy Levels 1, E2 and V2, McKenzie Parts A, B, C, D, E and Accreditation Examination, Mulligan’s Concept: Lower Quadrant and Upper Quadrant, Lyn Watson: Shoulder Course Levels 1 + 2, Shirley Sahrmann: Diagnosis and Treatment of Movement System Impairment Syndromes, Level 1, and Sports Taping and K-Taping courses. Tomas Staskevicius I.O., graduated from the Montreal College of Osteopathy in 2020 with over 3000 hours of training and clinical experience. Tomas’ approach combines visceral and cranial palpation with a thorough assessment of the musculoskeletal system in order to return the body to homeostasis. Using this holistic assessment, Tomas makes treatment plans and programs that are unique to each client. It is important to Tomas to provide not only an effective treatment, but also to give his clients a better understanding of their body’s physiology that will help them maintain their results.

Justin Castellano graduated from the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal in 2020. Justin’s holistic approach focuses on helping clients regain internal balance and health through the use of manual therapy techniques that address a wide range of ailments. He treats adults as well as pregnant people and babies. His areas of interest are sports injuries, concussions, and neck/back pain. Justin is eager to help his clients on their road to recovery and healthier living.
Marc Gagnon, D.O.
Marc Gagnon completed a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Montreal University in 1980. He has worked many years as a provincial instructor for the Quebec Tennis Association before learning and teaching Tai-Chi for over a decade.
After 2 years of preparatory courses in the field of Health Sciences, Marc next completed a six (6) years professional training at the Montreal College of Osteopathy from which he graduated in 2001. He is also the author of many articles on the subject of osteopathy. Recently, he has occupied the function of secretary in the Association des ostéopathes du Québec. Moreover, in the last years, he has helped promote Osteopathy through various means including participating in the Symposium des médecins francophones. Finally, he is a certified therapist of Niromathé (France) and Bowen technique. Marc is working with various patients, starting from newborns to elderly with quick and sound results.

THOMAS GAUTIER, D.O., is a graduate of the centre Européen d’Enseignement supérieur de l’Ostéopathie in Paris and a Doctor of Osteopathy. Thomas’s international experience includes 6 months spent in India perfecting Ayurvedic massage techniques and training in the Gesret Method, a technique used to treat asthma. His work with sports teams includes 2 years as official osteopath for a rugby and basketball team. Thomas’s varied experience lends itself to an approach that is gentle and unique. Olesya Gapakov, D.O.
Olesya a obtenu son diplôme en ostéopathie du Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques en 2013. SYLVAIN L. TRUDEL is a 1987 graduate of the Collège de Médecine Chinoise et Culturelle and an acupuncturist. Sylvain specializes in the treatment and evaluation of a variety of conditions, including back, neck, and articular pain, hormonal imbalances related to menopause, PMS, insomnia, and more. Sylvain has also specialized in craniosacral therapy since 2004. Sylvain uses soft laser to treat children and those with a fear of needles, making his services uniquely accessible. Samantha Halfyard: B.SC., CAT(C), is a 2016 graduate of Concordia University with a Bachelor of Science in exercise science, specializing in athletic therapy. She is an athletic therapist and concussion specialist. Throughout her studies at Concordia, she was awarded the CATA Annual Scholarship and Concordia’s AT Award of Excellence. She is certified as a Shift Concussion Management Provider and is also a member of the CTSQ’s Concussion Committee. Before joining the Cappino team, Samantha spent two years as Head Clinician at Neurocircuit Concussion Management, where she was a driving force for the program. Samantha’s experience includes the treatment of acute concussions as well as treatment for those dealing with Post-Concussion Syndrome. She has worked with patients of all ages and activity levels. She is a Registered Massage Therapist and an associate member of ANQ & ACDM and specializes in therapy techniques such as myofascial release, kinetic Swedish massage, and deep tissue massage. She stumbled into massage thanks to a twist of fate and considers it one of the best decisions she’s ever made. She is certified in cranial massage, Japanese facial massage, phytotherapy (herbology), lymphatic drainage, deep tissue massage, chair massage and pre-natal massage. Jennifer Abdulezer P.Dt is a Professional Dietitian and Nutritionist and a member of the Ordre Professionnel des Diététistes du Québec (OPDQ). A graduate from McGill University, she recently returned to study at the University of Montreal, updating her knowledge with current nutrition guidelines in order to always ensure the best care for her clients. Jennifer maintains a strong philosophy that food and health are interrelated, as our food and lifestyle choices are key to sustaining and achieving overall health and wellness. Jennifer works directly with individuals of all ages with a variety of issues, from simple healthy living, to sports nutrition to managing chronic illness. DR. LAURIE BETITO, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist specializing in sex therapy and has been a practicing psychotherapist for nearly 30 years. Her aim is to provide a safe space for individuals and couples to openly discuss sexuality and strengthen communication skills. She is the host of the weeknight show Passion on CJAD 800 Radio, where she discusses issues related to sexuality with her listeners. Dr. Laurie is also President of the Sexual Health Network of Quebec and Director of the Pornhub Sexual Wellness Center, an online sexual health information platform. Alyssia is currently pursuing her DEC in Social Sciences with a specialization in sports. Alyssia has been working Cappino Île-Perrot clinic for over 2 years. Her colleagues and clients appreciate her warmth, compassion and diligence . She enjoys working with her many colleagues and her interactions with clients. Alyssia is an avid dancer and spends whatever free time she has with family and friends.
Francesca has been part of the Cappino family since August 2020. The other members of our team and our clients embraced her immediately. She is currently studying Occupational Therapy at McGill University. She really enjoys working in an environment with health care professionals. Francesca’s warmth and positive attitude are contagious. Francesca is a former athlete and a certified conditioning coach. We are very fortunate to have someone with her knowledge, experience and drive on our team.
Marc-Antoine is a recent addition to the Cappino Île-Perrot team. A physiotherapy student, he enjoys working with the professionals in his field. Marc-Antoine is a dedicated employee and he always provides excellent customer service. We are lucky to have him as part of our team. Marc-Antoine enjoys hiking, skiing and playing the guitar.
Christiane has been with Cappino for over three years where she is has been wonderful employee and colleague. Christiane had a background in accounting and is extremely organized. Her experience, education and compassion make her the perfect office manager. Christiane, a self described “people person” really enjoys her interactions with clients and colleagues. She is a natural leader who acts as a mentor to many of our younger team members. When she is not working, Christiane spends her free time participating in outdoor sports and reading.
Office manager for our Dorval clinic, Cristen has been with Cappino for over 3 years and is an integral part of our team. Cristen studied psychology at Concordia University as well as Equine Science at Aberystwyth University in Wales. She then enrolled in a Medical Office Specialist Program at the West Island Career Center. Cristen is driven and passionate about everything she does, from being an equestrian teacher and riding horses to providing the best service at Cappino. Cristen’s favorite thing about working at Cappino is the opportunity to meet and interact with new people every day. Our clients and staff enjoy working with Cristen and we consider ourselves fortunate to have her as part of our team.
Angélie is the youngest member of the Cappino team. She has been with us for two years and her colleagues appreciate her commitment and dedication to her job. Angélie really enjoys interacting with both clients and her fellow team members. She is known for her contagious sense of humor. Angélie hopes to pursue a career in education where she can share her passion for athletics and the arts with her future students.
Irit joined the Cappino team in 2019. She attended McGill University where she studied psychology. Her hobbies include painting and reading. Health, fitness and wellness have always been very important to Irit. She is very happy to work in a place that promotes all three. Having completed his DEC in health science, Charles-Édouard is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree, specializing in kinesiology at McGill University. He plans to one day complete a master’s degree in sports psychology. Charles-Édouard has been with us for almost a year now and has proven to be a great addition to the reception team. He is hardworking, dedicated and never passes up on the opportunity to brighten a client’s day. He takes pride in the level of service he provides and always has a smile on his face. Julia graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Science and has been working in health and fitness ever since. Julia considers herself very fortunate to have worked with many leaders in the industry from who she learned a great deal. Julia has always been very active, she started playing sports as a kid and never stopped. She coached basketball for many years at a high level. Julia is very proud to be part of the Cappino team and really enjoys working with so many passionate, driven, compassionate people.

Melissa Zaino, BA, Director of Marketing, has an undergraduate degree in Communications and Cultural Studies from Concordia University and entered the Marketing industry in 2005. She has experience working as a marketing specialist, an account supervisor and now currently holds the position of Client Marketing Manager for LoyaltyOne. She has worked with many large organizations to create and implement several successful marketing strategies. As Director of Marketing, she will be responsible for developing the clinic into a strong brand built on trust, transparency and reliability. Marco Zaino, MBA, FCSI. Managing Director. With a passion for entrepreneurialism, Marco was one of the co-founders of PhysioSport Cappadocia. Since its opening in 2008, PSC successfully developed a clientele for outpatient physiotherapy, home visit physiotherapy and corporate physiotherapy. Marco currently works in the finance industry and serves as a Vice President at Dundee Goodman Private where he manages the assets of many wealthy individuals and corporations. He has an MBA from Queen’s University, is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute and has completed Level II of the CFA curriculum. Marco has also been nominated to sit on several committees for different institutions. He is excited to develop Cappino into one of the most respected physiotherapy and wellness clinics in Montreal.
